Fashion ecommerce

Product Detail Page (PDP)

A product detail page (PDP) is the individual page on an ecommerce store dedicated to a single product — containing images, description, pricing, sizing, and the add-to-cart button.

What this means

The PDP is typically the last page a shopper visits before either adding to cart or leaving. It carries the full weight of the purchase decision: does this look right, will it fit, does it match what I need it for. Any uncertainty a shopper carries into the PDP either gets resolved there or ends the session. Because the PDP is a single-product view, it structurally struggles to answer outfit-level or occasion-level questions — "does this work for my event" or "what would I wear this with" — unless the brand adds a mechanism (like an embedded AI assistant) specifically designed to answer those questions in context.

Why it matters for fashion brands

The PDP is where purchase decisions are made and where most shoppers hesitate and leave. AI stylists embedded on PDPs can address the specific uncertainty a shopper has about that product — whether to buy it, what to pair it with, how it fits — at exactly the right moment.
