Use case

Your slowest SKUs are one outfit away from selling.

Dead inventory costs fashion brands 2-5% of annual revenue in markdowns and write-offs. Most of it isn’t unsellable, it’s unsurfaced. Elara puts slow-moving pieces in front of the right shoppers, in the right context, as part of a complete outfit they actually want.

The business case

Every markdown avoided is margin saved. Elara avoids markdowns.

The fashion industry writes off up to $140 billion in unsold inventory annually. A significant portion of this is stock that exists in a catalog but never appears in front of a shopper with the right context to buy it. Browse-and-filter surfaces the best-sellers. Elara surfaces everything, intelligently, in the context of a complete outfit where each piece earns its place.

Questions, answered.

Does Elara force slow-moving products into outfits even when they're not right?

No. Elara only surfaces a slow-moving SKU in an outfit if it genuinely works for that occasion, that shopper's taste, and that look's aesthetic coherence. Forced recommendations produce returns and shopper dissatisfaction.

Does this work for end-of-season inventory?

Yes, and it's particularly effective for end-of-season. Shoppers buying in the last six weeks of a season are typically occasion-driven, they need something specific and soon. Elara's occasion matching puts your end-of-season inventory in front of exactly that shopper.

How do I tell Elara which inventory to prioritize?

In the Widget Studio, you can flag specific products, collections, or SKUs for priority surfacing. You can also set rules, such as prioritizing any product with more than 50 units and fewer than 10 sales in the last 30 days.

Can I track which Elara conversations led to dead inventory sales?

Yes. The Elara merchant dashboard shows per-SKU attribution, which conversations resulted in a sale for each product, what occasion brief triggered the recommendation, and what the shopper's Style Graph profile looked like.
