The business case

Occasions drive fashion purchases. Most stores can’t serve them.

Over 60% of fashion purchases are triggered by a specific occasion. A wedding. A festival. A job interview. A date. These shoppers arrive at your store with intent and a brief, but most stores can only respond with a filter panel. Elara responds with an outfit.

Elara reasons over your catalog

Elara interprets what the occasion requires, formality, aesthetic register, cultural context, season, and cross-references your live catalog, the shopper’s size, and their Style Graph taste data. It selects pieces that work together as a look.

The outfit

A complete look appears in the chat, top, bottom, accessory, footwear, with a rationale. The shopper adds what they want. One brief, one sale.

Questions, answered.

What occasions does Elara handle?

Any occasion a shopper can describe in natural language. Elara handles Indian festive occasions (Diwali, Eid, Navratri, wedding guest), western social occasions (cocktail party, beach holiday, work event, date night), professional occasions (job interview, client meeting), and everyday contexts. The system understands what each occasion implies about formality, aesthetic, and cultural context, not just as a keyword match.

Can I control which occasions get prioritized in Elara's recommendations?

Yes. In the Widget Studio, you can pin specific products or collections to appear in occasion-matched recommendations. You can also tag your catalog with occasion metadata to improve the accuracy of Elara's reasoning.

How does Elara know what's appropriate for a given occasion?

Elara's occasion reasoning is built on a combination of catalog metadata (occasion tags on your products), cultural and fashion context trained into the model, and the shopper's Style Graph history. A shopper who has previously engaged with minimalist styles will receive a different Diwali outfit than a shopper with a maximalist taste profile.

What if my catalog doesn't have enough products for a complete occasion outfit?

Elara returns what it has, even a partial look is better than no guidance. If a catalog can only supply three of the four typical pieces, Elara presents those three with a note that the shopper may want to source the fourth elsewhere.
